Christian churches come in all styles and shapes. Some meet in homes; open fields; ampitheaters; large coliseums, packing in thousands;urban storefronts; and magnificant Cathedrals. Buildings will vary, but the church is people, His people, who love Jesus Christ and are committed to Him. The strength of Wrightsville Beach Baptist Church is its people; solid in their faith; strong in love for Jesus Christ; committed to serving Him according to the WORD of God; caring for those who are part of the WBBC family; helping hurting people wherever we find them; and, proclaiming the gospel of Christ to all people through small groups, Outreach ministries, and Mission points throughout the world.

The ancient first century church in the Greek city of Philidalphia became known as the "church of the open door". Christ commended the believers there by saying, "I have set before you an open door which no-one can shut because you have a little power, have kept my WORD, and have not denied MY name" (Revelation 3:8).

That commendation is what the staff wants for us too! They want Jesus Christ to say to us, "Wrightsville Beach Baptist people, You have an open door before you which no man can shut; a little power; you have kept My WORD, and have not denied My name; you have brought Me glory and praise".
