Christian churches come in all styles and shapes. Some meet in homes; open fields; amphitheaters; large coliseums, packing in thousands;urban storefronts; and magnificent Cathedrals. Buildings will vary, but the church is people, His people, who love Jesus Christ and are committed to Him. The strength of Wrightsville Beach Baptist Church is its people; solid in their faith; strong in love for Jesus Christ; committed to serving Him according to the WORD of God; caring for those who are part of the WBBC family; helping hurting people wherever we find them; and, proclaiming the gospel of Christ to all people through our devotion to worship, fellowship, Bible study, and community outreach.

The ancient first century church of Philadelphia became known as the "church of the open door". Christ commended them by saying, "I have set before you an open door which no-one can shut because you have a little power, have kept my WORD, and have not denied MY name" (Revelation 3:8).

WBBC wants Jesus Christ to say to us, "You have an open door before you which no man can shut; a little power; you have kept My WORD, and have not denied My name; you have brought Me glory and praise".
